The Management Committee
The Association’s members elect the Management Committee. This is done at our Annual General Meeting, with one third of the Committee standing for re-election each year.
All of the Management Committee are members of the Association, and are people with an interest in Copperworks and the local area. Each year they update their skills by attending relevant training events and, where required, buy in specialist expert advice, for example from the Associations solicitor on complex legal issues.
The overall business of the Association is considered by the Management Committee meetings.
Our Management Committee is a group of volunteers (usually made up of around 15 people) including a chairperson, vice chairperson, secretary and treasurer. The Management Committee have overall responsibility for the governance and strategic direction of the associaiton. They promote and uphold Copperworks Housing Association's values, set and monitor standards for service delivery and performance control Copperworks' affairs and ensure compliance.
Our committee is curently made up of 12 dedicated volunteers who represent the local area and work hand in hand with the staff to make sure the communities views and ambitions are at the heart of what we do.
As a committee member you will be involved with the planning, monitoring and control of high quality and efficient services to our tenants and service users.
Above all, we need people with the passion and commitment to make a real difference to those in housing need. We are committed to equality and diversity and welcome people from all sections of the community.
You are expected to attend at least 10 Management Committee meetings each year.

We offer committee members full training and Management Committee experience. You will be encourage to undertake training sessions and attend seminars and conferences on behalf of the Association.
